EXTENSIONS
A brand extension strategy involves launching a new product by applying an existing brand name to a new product in a different category. The opportunity of the expansion strategy is to increase sales under the brand and further strengthen the brand value.
There are three ingredients to a successful brand extension launch:
1. Relevance - is the product concept reasonably relevant to the parent brand and its audience?
2. Leverage: Does the parent brand give the product a competitive advantage in the airline industry?
3. Opportunity: Does the product portfolio provide an opportunity to expand the brand's audience, engagement and increase revenue?
Google Chrome extensions are programs that can be installed in Chrome to change the functionality of the browser. This includes adding new features to Chrome or changing the existing behavior of the program itself to make it more convenient for users.
Here are some examples of the types of functionality that Google Chrome extensions can add to Chrome:
1. block the display of ads
2. Optimizing memory usage to make Chrome run more efficiently
3. Add to-do lists and notes to Chrome
4. Password management
5. Facilitates copying text from websites
6. Protect your privacy and make web surfing safer.
As you can see, extensions offer a variety of additional features to make your tasks easier or to get more out of the websites you visit.
Unfortunately, while most Chrome extensions are beneficial, some developers create extensions that negatively change Chrome's behavior. For example, adware developers can install Chrome extensions without your permission, inject advertisements into the web pages you view, change your search provider to a controlled website, change your new tab page, change your homepage, and so on. You can hijack it.
The image below shows an example of a malicious extension called Search-NewTab that injects ads. It goes without saying that whenever you find a malicious Google Chrome extension, you should always remove it.
